Privacy

Your published page is public. Anyone with its link or card can see what you put on it, so please do not add anything you would not want shared.

What we collect

We collect the information needed to run your account and page: your email address, sign-in details, and the text, links, images, and contact details you choose to add.

If you buy an unlock, we keep a record of it. If you order a card or a Memory, we collect the information needed to make and deliver it, such as the name to print, delivery address, and phone number. A Memory also holds the video you upload and the words you put around it. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card or bank details.

We may also receive information you provide when you report a page or contact us for support.

How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve BearLog Pages and Memories, process purchases, make and deliver what you ordered, answer requests, keep the service safe, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use it to target advertising.

Who we share it with

We share information only with trusted providers that help us run the service, process payments, and deliver cards, or when the law requires it. They may use it only to do that work for us.

If you add a Spotify player, Spotify receives information about visitors to that page and may use cookies under Spotify’s privacy policy. You can avoid this by not adding the player, or by using a regular Spotify link instead.

Memories

A Memory is public to anyone holding one of its pieces or its link. The video, the title, and the line under it are not behind a password, so please do not put anything on one you would not want a stranger who finds the card to see.

Videos and any artwork you send are held by our storage provider and served from its own address. We do not watch them except when we have to: a support request you send us, or a report that something breaks the Terms.

A Memory page loads no analytics and sets no cookies, and we do not count plays. Nobody, including us, can tell you who has scanned a piece or how often.

You can replace a video at any time from your account. To delete one, or a whole Memory, email report@bearlog.app. The pieces stop playing when it goes, and we keep the order record where the law requires it.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use our own advertising or analytics cookies on published pages. A Spotify player may set Spotify’s cookies, as described above.

Your choices and rights

You can edit or unpublish your page at any time. To ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information, email report@bearlog.app from the address linked to your account. We may keep limited purchase and order records where the law requires it.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you may ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, and complain to the National Privacy Commission. We’ll handle those requests at the same email address.

Children

You must be 13 or older to hold an account here. A child can be in what you make: a Memory of a christening is exactly what this is for. The person who puts them there has to be their parent or guardian, or have that parent’s permission.

Questions and updates

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and let account holders know when appropriate. For privacy questions or to report personal information published without permission, contact report@bearlog.app. See the Terms for page-reporting rules.
